My office is located in the heart of Westwood, right off the UCLA campus.

The address is 1081-99 Westwood Blvd., Suite 235, Los Angeles, CA 90024.

I tend to encourage using the Broxton Parking garage located at 1036 Broxton Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024. It’s a short walk to where my office is located. However, there is occasional metered parking just outside the office building or along the intersecting streets.

After scheduling a session, you will get a secured video link via email and text so you can join the session by laptop or phone.

This is where we can have a brief conversation about your presenting concerns, my foundational approach, fees, and frequency of therapy.

Sessions are usually 45-50 minutes in length. I have done occasional 90-minute sessions depending on the need.

Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Fridays are my only in-person day of the week.

Yes, I take insurance to help with accessibility. I use Headway and Grow Therapy platforms for this purpose.

Thanks for asking. I ask that you cancel outside of 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid any additional late or no-show fees.

I usually work with anyone over the age of 18. Yes to men, yes to women, yes to couples. I rarely work with adolescents, only those who are low risk and can keep themselves and others safe. (Wow, I just had a moment where “adolescents” looked completely foreign to me.)

Only if you want to, but some have found lying horizontal to be more relaxing or help to ease into constant eye contact with me, and I get that.

It is a semi-structured question and answer session where I will take notes. We try to get through it in one session, but sometimes it could take a couple of sessions.

You can also ask me anything you want to know about me to help you feel as comfortable as possible working with me.

Consistency is key. Help me help you by being open, vulnerable, and sharing everything with me. Yes, I am trained to pull things out of you, but therapy flows a lot better when you feel comfortable enough to share.

I tend to give tangible homework in the beginning, and then homework is usually in the form of practicing what you learned in session.

I wouldn’t say serious. I would say authentic and genuine, which means all emotions can be felt in one session. On the spectrum of happy and sad, all emotions are welcomed.

I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology and a minor in Multicultural Education in Psychology. I attended the University of Missouri for my bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD.

Yes, I am an open book, and I want you to feel as comfortable with me as possible, so ask anything you want to know.

Personally, running mascara reminds me of a romcom, and I love romcoms. But in all seriousness, tears are part of the process, and you typically feel better letting them out.

I love spending time listening to music and creating playlists for my yoga classes, watching my favorite shows or reality TV, shopping clearance, working out, or traveling. Sometimes, my kids make me smile, too. Also, I’m probably working toward some personal and creative goals.

I’m a dog person, but my moment to imprint on a cat was taken away from me as a child.

After adopting a kitten from a new litter down the street, a stray dog came out of nowhere and grabbed my kitten and ran off. So sad.

It’s pronounced Till-man.

The “gh” is silent. However, there are family members who took out the “gh” altogether because they didn’t know what to do with it, and there are other family members who pronounce the “gh” like “ch,” so the family is split on this issue, ha.

A lady never tells, but I will make an exception for my clients. For now, just know I’m older than I look.
